A unique intersection of clinical medicine, research, and elite coaching
I am a medical doctor (M.D., surgeon by training), a sports physician, and a researcher at Philipps-University of Marburg, where my work focuses on endurance sport physiology — specifically durability and the application of machine learning in athlete assessment. My publications are indexed on PubMed and ResearchGate.
In parallel, I run an active coaching and consulting practice. My athletes have reached national podiums in MTB, road cycling, and track cycling across U17–U23 categories. I have worked across the full spectrum — from recreational athletes to international competitors — and across disciplines including cycling and triathlon.
Clinically, I serve as a senior sports physician, supervising multidisciplinary teams, managing return-to-play protocols after injury and surgery, and lecturing on sports medicine for both medical students and practicing physicians.
I am available for consulting engagements with national and international federations, performance labs, startups in sports technology, and organisations building athlete development programmes — in English, German, or Russian.
